Nuts for Nets

“Nuts about Nets” is St. Paul Lutheran Church’s 2011 initiative to combat malaria, which kills one million people worldwide each year. They are joining the Clarke Cares Foundation and The Carter Center to provide mosquito bed nets for families in Nigeria.

We started going to St. Paul Lutheran Church a couple months ago and have felt very at home there. I love this 2011 initiative! Unfortunately, due to being out of town on weekends these last several weeks, I was unable to be a part of the kick-off week or really help in any way.

We did our part today by swinging by this adorable lemonade stand that my friend Leslie's kids set up to raise funds. And can you believe that they raised $142?!!! They did!

It may have been the fresh lemons and sugar rimmed glasses...yum!

:)

Would you consider helping?

$10 sends 4 nets!

(And GREAT JOB Oliver and Eli!!!!)
