Visiting the Knutsons

Sunday evening we went to Nevada to the Knutson's for a great dinner and relaxing. Tate slept pretty much the entire time and Sara and I watched our Sunday evening shows. We ate Dairy Queen and the boys played cribbage. It was a great time. We hadn't seen them for what seemed like forever! We are so blessed to have such great friends! Posted by Picasa

Meeting Great Grandpa Peakin

On Sunday, after church, we went to Colo to visit Nana and Papa P. and Great Grandpa Peakin. It was Tate's first trip to Nana and Papa's house in Colo. He loved it there! :) We had a great lunch and just hung out and relaxed for a couple of hours. We were so happy to introduce Tate to his other Great Grandpa...now he's met both of them! Posted by Picasa

Our Little Seminole

Even though the Florida State Seminoles didn't win tonight, Tate still showed his support by wearing his FSU attire. Tate was disappointed by the loss, but was SO HAPPY with the Hawkeye victory, so that helped. Tate really enjoyed laying around all day and watching his favorite college football teams! Posted by Picasa

Leah

I just love this picture of our niece, Leah...she's all gums! :) Posted by Picasa

The Peakins Visit

Sean's brother, sister-in-law and our niece, Leah came to visit today. We were so excited to have them come and meet Tate! We hung out and watched football and admired the kids all day. It was very relaxing and fun. Leah LOVED Tate soooo much! It was so cute because she could not keep her hands off of him! She wanted to touch him and stick her finger in his mouth and his nose constantly. She especially loved his pacifier. He would be sucking away on it and she would just reach right over and pop it right out of his mouth...not because she wanted to use it, just because it was fun! Ha. We captured her doing it in the first picture...as you can see, Tate was not thrilled that she did it, but it was quite amusing for the rest of us! :)

Leah is getting so big, walking around things and chattering! She loves reaching for whatever she's not supposed to have (typical child!) and had tons of fun licking our sliding glass door and picking on Tate today! Can't wait for all of the years to come!

Our Little Zebra

We went over to Chris and Brenda's last night to hang out and Tate begged to wear his Halloween costume! So, he talked us into it and he wore it over to their house to show everyone what a cute zebra he is! Here are some pictures of him! Posted by Picasa

Our Bald Boy!

We gave Tate a bath tonight and afterwards when Sean was rubbing his head with the towel, I realized that he had balled up dried skin all over the top of his head. While I was trying to pick if off his head, I realized that there was hair balled up with all the dry skin and then I realized his head was as smooth as a cue ball! I continued to pick off the dry skin until it was all gone along with all of his hair on top. There are still a few strands right along his hairline in the front, but if I pull on them even a little, they just fall right out! We may end up with a little baldy after all! It's so funny right now though because he still has all of his hair on the sides and on the back, so he just looks like a balding old man! I kind of tried pulling lightly on the hair on the sides and back to see if it was going to fall out soon too, but it seems to be staying put for a while. His head is soooo soft on top now, it's so funny!

I tried to capture his bald head as best as I could in these pics, but it was hard. By the last picture, Tate was irritated with getting his picture taken and just decided he was going to stick his tongue out for the rest. :) Posted by Picasa

Tate & Brown Puppy

Thank you Brigg and Lani for Tate's brown puppy! He LOVES it! He just lays in his crib and stares at it. It is wonderful that he can be so focused on brown puppy for so long because then his mommy can get stuff done like making dinner and picking up the house! :) Posted by Picasa

Kay and Tate

Kay got to meet Tate yesterday. She came in from Kansas City to visit and stay the night. I was so happy that she came all this way to see our baby boy! We just relaxed and hung out and she got a lot of "Tate time" in!

Tate had a tough night last night. He didn't sleep a whole lot and was pretty fussy. Of course because of that, today he is exhausted. He has gotten a lot of catch up sleep today. I needed some as well and he wasn't wanting ANYTHING to do with laying in his crib, SO he got to sleep for a couple of hours in his boppy in Mommy and Daddy's bed. I CANNOT make this a habit, but it was nice to be able to get a couple of hours of sleep uninterrupted! I had to take a picture of how cute he looked laying in his boppy! Posted by Picasa

Tate in Green

Tate and I had a good day today. We went over to Melissa's and hung out for a couple of hours and just lounged. Tate did "tummy time" for a bit while kind of propped up on a pickle pillow. I thought these pics were so cute because the pillow matched his green sweat suit. He looks so good in green I think. The outfit is a little big, but cute nonetheless! The hood on the jacket is about as big as Tate! We think he's cute in anything though!

Kay comes to visit tomorrow and to meet Tate! I can't wait to see her and for her to see Tate!!!!

Weekend Gathering

It almost felt like Christmas today with nearly all of the Clodfelder side of the family gathering at Cathy and Steve's. As usual, Cathy was a FABULOUS host, supplying TONS of yummy food! We gathered and ate food all day! Tate had such a great time meeting his Great Grandpa Clodfelder, Kent, Carolyn, Gale, Wells, Drew, Brent, Olivia and Mary. I think that's everyone new that he met!!! There were sooo many people, I apologize if I forgot someone! It was a great day and so nice to introduce Tate to everyone! We are just so proud of Tate and how perfect we think he is and love "showing him off"! It was so great seeing everyone! Posted by Picasa

Tate Bundled Up...

It's been cold out so when we went out to run errands on Saturday, we got Tate all bundled up! We thought he looked pretty cute which made for...you guessed it...a fantastic photo opp!!! Posted by Picasa

Daddy's Swaddling Job

Daddy had night time duty last night and in the middle of the night, Tate got up for his night time feeding and diaper change. Daddy hasn't had night time duty all by himself before, so when he tried to re-swaddle Tate, this is how he did it. He gets an A for effort, but when I woke up in the morning and saw Tate's swaddle loose with his arm hanging out and covering his mouth, I HAD to take a picture! It was pretty funny! I LOVE Sean, he tries SO hard! He is doing an excellent job! Posted by Picasa

My First Friday at Home!!

  Posted by Picasa

My first Friday at home was good. I got to spend lots of time with Daddy because Mommy had a fever and didn't feel good, so she took a nap for a couple hours while Daddy played with me! I liked that because usually Daddy works all day and I don't get to see him until later. Mommy woke up though and took care of me for the rest of the day while Daddy went to work.

Mommy sure likes to take lots of pictures of me! I think I am getting the hang of it though...I know that when she has the camera in front of me, I am supposed to look right at it. I do that most of the time. Mommy says I better get used to that flash because I am going to be seeing a lot of it! Daddy and I think that she goes a bit overboard though.

I was awake a lot today (and last night!), I just haven't wanted to sleep much since yesterday. I like it when Mommy stays up all night with me and rocks me and sings to me and holds me. I don't think that she always likes it though. Sometimes I look up at her and she has her eyes closed and so I have to make some noises so that she wakes up and pays attention to me. That's what I did last night a lot!

Today Mommy and Daddy played with me while I layed on the floor. They dangled my blue monkey toy in front of me, and I really liked looking at it...I even liked to suck on it's nose! We had so much fun today! I was exhausted by 10 pm and fell asleep on Daddy's chest. I like it there, it's comfortable.

Tomorrow, for the first time, I get to watch the Hawkeyes play! I can't wait! Then, I get to meet more people on Sunday! I am going to meet my Great Grandpa Clodfelder, Kent, Gale, Carolyn and Olivia! I can't wait to meet them!

Love, Tate
