I'm not sure if all of you have heard all the hooplah about the end of the world being tomorrow, but it seems I can't avoid hearing about it! From Facebook to posts on blogs I read to the media, I am constantly hearing about it. I mean, really?! People actually believe this stuff?

I must say that hearing about all of it has definitely gotten me thinking though...

"What if we were able to KNOW when judgement day was? Would I be living my life any differently?"

The sad truth is that, yes, I would. That's not how it should be though. It's quite convicting actually for me to think about that truth. Because the fact is that ANY moment could be my last moment on earth...I could be killed in a car accident, I could drop dead of an unexpected heart attack (and this is something that I feel could happen each day when I run!) just never know.

I am going to be brutally honest here. I all too often do things, think things, say things that I know I shouldn't and then I think, 'forgive me Lord, I'll do better tomorrow', or 'I'll make the better choice next time'. The problem is that THIS could be the last time and there may not be a tomorrow for me on this earth. I mean, we all know that, but do we REALLY KNOW that?! I forget it all the time.

You hear that you should live each day like it's your last, but do we? I certainly don't. I worry about the future all the time. I worry about what people will think of me if I make this choice or that choice instead of just being God's hands and feet NOW and giving HIM all the glory. I worry all too often what tomorrow will bring here on this earth and not enough that tomorrow could be the beginning of my eternity. Wow...that is MUCH more important than ANYTHING that this earth could give me tomorrow.

I just had to get these feelings down on "paper" so that I can be reminded to do better, be better NOW, because now may be my last moment.

"I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
~Matthew 12:36-37
