I turn 30 in about a month. I'm not concerned or stressed about it at all. Actually, I am pretty much looking forward to my 30's. Everyone always says that their 30's were so much better than their 20's. We will see. Since I don't have much time to get anything done by the time I'm 30, I have created a list (in my mind) of things that I would like to do while I'm 30. Wish I could do them by the time I'm 30, but I've accepted the fact that it's not going to happen!
I went the the fabric store with my mom today and seriously could spend HOURS there! I always just love so much fabric whenever I go! So I need to learn to do something crafty with fabric...maybe sewing would be a good start, but in all honesty, I would LOVE to learn how to make a full on quilt or fun headbands or something else cute and fun. I know how to sew...well, I know the basics...like the BARE MINIMUM! I need to get better at that and then I can make fun things with all the cute fabrics I always find!
I would also love to really build my photography business in the next year. I have loved every second of the photo shoots I've done so far and I just really look forward to getting to do it more often!
I plan to learn how to make sushi. I've watched my brother make it (and his is AMAZING!) countless times and so I pretty much know how it's done, but I also know it takes time to master...especially the rice. I plan to try it...hopefully soon!
In the food category, I also plan to master my mom's (or actually my grandma's) homemade bread. It's the best...simple as that. It's a family recipe and my mother has made it since I can remember and over the last year or two my sister has mastered it as well. It's about time I learn!
So these are a few of the items I plan to check off my list in my 30th year of life. We'll see how it goes! A good way to start my 30's right? I think so! :)
