We did the St. Louis Zoo today. It was fun, and busy. And we probably didn't choose the best time to go, but we had slept in and then went to IHOP or brunch. :) Unfortunately, many of the animals were not out and active. :( We still had fun though!

There were several dark tunnels to go through on the train.

The elephant area was huge and awesome! Tons of elephants to be seen!
And the Grizzley Bear might have been my favorite part!
We took a little break and rode the carousel...
And then the boys got tattoos...
Of course, Brigg got a Cardinal and did the air brush one so that it lasts up to 7 days. He WANTED it on his face...we settled for the arm. :)

And then we got a few sliders from White Castle for a "healthy" midday snack. Yum...they were devoured by the boys!
And I must say, these 2 boys have been purely a joy to spend the last 24 hours with! Oh how I love them!
Sean, Brigg and Tate are upstairs swimming now for an hour or so before our Smoki O's BBQ we ordered gets delivered to our room at 5:30 for dinner! Then it'll be time for Brigg and Sean to head out again to another Cardinals game tonight! Hopefully it's not a blowout like last night...ugh. And I must say that it has been absolutely gorgeous today and appears to be staying that way so it's looking like the rain is going to stay away afterall! YAY!
Tomorrow we plan to go up in the arch in the morning and then head out for home!

and brigg looks so "natural" sitting in the back seat with his tatoo. ha.
now i hope there is fruit or vegetable involved with supper. and thank you for avoiding the cardinal on the face. donna's bday is this weekend and we'll be in storm lake!
