Camping with kids...

Tip for camping with small children:

Use the term "camping" very loosely. Rent a cabin that has a place to build a fire outdoors, let the kids run around and get dirty, make s'mores and roast weenies and then just call it camping.

The kids did great...but that may partially be because we weren't REALLY camping. :)

However, all of our time was spent outside playing and roasting food on a fire, we did a mini hike and let the kids get really dirty and run around outside without shoes on. They LOVED it! I'm talking L O V E D it. Tate and Ava both called the cabin a cabinet. Tate hasn't stopped talking about it since we've been home and even said, "Mommy, you and Daddy are the most bestest Mommy and Daddy ever. I love the cabinet!"

There was a state park pretty much across the street and up a bluff from our cabin. AWESOME views and fun little hiking trail. We were SO GLAD we decided to check it out. The kids loved it. And these two...man, they are just the best of friends!

Sean and James made sure to call each other so that they could pack matching clothes. They decided on green for Thursday. Strangely enough, Tate had decided on a green shirt as well! :)

I love watching Tate and Ava's friendship grow as they've gotten older together.

Sitting by the campfire the first evening, waiting patiently to roast "smarshmallows".

I cannot even believe how handsome my baby is...he was verging on angelic these last few days!

Yes, I do have more to post...I promised you LOTS of pictures and that's what you're getting!
