I love cooking.
And I LOVE the Food Network!
I have taken several recipes from various shows on the Food Network as well as taken bits and pieces of recipes from my favorite shows to create my own recipes. Probably my most favorite shows to take recipes from (or even just tips from to create my own recipe) are Cooking For Real, Rachel Ray's 30 Minute Meals, Paula's Best Dishes, Giada at Home, Semi Homemade and sometimes Guy's Big Bite.
Today on Cooking For Real (probably my favorite of all the shows), there was a recipe for Chicken in Pumpkin-Ancho Mole Sauce. MMMMMMM!!! I am going to make it in the next week or so. I will let you know how it goes and post it on my recipe blog if it's good! I am tempted to go out and get the ingredients right now so I can make it!
We rarely go out for dinner...probably only once every 2 weeks or so. Even with Sean's night schedule, he's home for dinner every night and so we eat dinner together at the table as a family without fail. It's one of my favorite parts of the day...no TV on, no computer (though I love the computer), no distraction. Just the 3 of us sitting together, talking. It's something that I remember from my childhood...we would sit together every night and eat the dinner that my mom prepared together as a family. I'm not nearly the chef my mother is, but I'm working at it!
