a low-key 4th of July...

The reality hit me today that we might not have that much time left as a family of just 3. I think it hit Sean too. We talked a lot last night about that reality and then must have just acted on it today. :)

We did not leave the house. Sean played Kinect with Tate pretty much all day while I packed for our upcoming week away in Muscatine and did laundry and just got the house in order. Then, Sean had to work tonight and I was TIRED from a late night last night and busy day. We were possibly going to go to the fireworks again tonight, but I just couldn't do it. Plus, like I said, I was consumed with this "soak up every second with just having one child" thought. Ha.

So Tate and I played outside after supper and Sean left for work. It was just he and I, there wasn't a cloud in the sky, the temperature was perfect...it was so nice. Tate is so funny, and smart and just so much fun one on one!

He was REALLY into modeling for pictures tonight...it was pretty hilarious! However, my camera LOVES him and so I just kept snapping.

So you get pictures tonight...

Such a sweet night with my sweet boy.

Looking forward to the week ahead that we will be spending with family as Chris, Brenda, Bode and Boone are back until Saturday!!! Yay!
