Big Day!

Today was a big day in the Peakin household! A few things happened today...

First of all, today Tate turned 10 months old! Second of all, we finally lowered Tate's crib! I know, I know...we probably should have done it months ago, but it never seemed to be a risk until today when Tate started trying to pull himself up to his toy box and anything else he could find. We decided, that the bed needed to be lowered ASAP or we weren't going to sleep well in fear of him falling out! So he's safe now! :) For Tate's birthday, he got a "big boy" car seat! He loves it and we do too! He was getting WAY too heavy to be carrying around in that carrier and his feet and head were hanging out of it...it was time. It even has a cup holder...you know, for all of the beverages that he carries around! Ha...I know it will be handy in the near future! For the next 2 months it will be rear facing, but when he turns 1, we'll be able to face it forward. Check out how much of a "big boy" he is in it! Lastly, Tate got his first injury today that bled. It scared me. I got him up from his nap and he was doing this weird whimper cry which is not like him. I pulled his pacifier out of his mouth and there was blood all over it and all over his lips and he started crying. I freaked out...I was trying to see where the blood was coming from. Turns out, he just had a small cut on the inside of his lip that was bleeding pretty good! I don't know how he got it, but I am guessing it might have something to do with his foot long fingernails! I immediately cut the talons off! This child's fingernails grow SO FAST. I just cut them 5 days ago! I guess I need to be better about that!

All in all it was a great day. We got to watch Bode for a couple of hours this evening, which is always a hoot! Tate is sound asleep in his newly lowered, safe crib and I am going to go pack for our trip to Muscatine we will be leaving for tomorrow. Sean has to stay home and work, so we will miss him. We will be back Wednesday. I will post pics when I get back!
