Drowning

I feel like I am drowning in a sea of poop and pee these last several days...Tate's poop and pee that is. I don't know if it's the teething or what the deal is, but this child has got a serious case of the poops! He's not ever been a big pooper due to some constipation issues, but he sure has let loose these last 4 days! I have gone through more outfits and onesies and pj's than I ordinarily do in 2 weeks! I have gone through a TON of wipes and I am sick of changing this child's clothes every time I have to change his diaper! AHHHHHHH!!!! Aside from all of that, I feel bad for the boy! I know I wouldn't want to be sitting in poop and urine soaked clothing 50% of the day! Today he felt a little warm and was a bit whiney, so I took his temperature and he was at about 100. I feel like between the combination of the low grade fever, the pooping issues, the constant drool and the fact that he screams bloody murder when I press on his gums, he must be teething! I suppose it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. I am not looking forward to starting this stage. I know it may last quite a while too! :( Good thing I have such a happy child...he has only been slightly whiney in small spurts during the day (which is more than usual) and he's easily calmed, so I guess it could be worse. I am just not enjoying the other stuff! So, we went up a size in diapers today to hopefully help the issue of his pooping out. The excessive amount of poop (and the fact that it's kind of diarheaish) prevent the diapers from absorbing his pee, so then not only does the poop blow out, but the pee does too! Sorry for being so descriptive! Anyway, Tate is in size 3 diapers now and he's gone through 3 of them and has had one big poopy diaper and didn't leak out! WOOHOO! Hopefully this will be the answer to that problem! Now if I could just take away his drooling issue, I'd be a happy camper! Something tells me that I am just going to have to deal with it though! Hey, I would rather be drowning in saliva than poop and pee! :)

I'm not really sure if Jack has been teething yet or not either. He seems to have some symptoms. Monday and Tuesday he was sooo fussy! We have been trying the all natural teething tablets. They were right next to the Gripe water at Hy Vee. They do seem to help and I like that they are all natural.
