The BIG news!!!

Well, we've pretty much told everyone the BIG news that we are going to be a mommy and daddy! We are soooo excited and now I will be able to update everyone on the progression on this blogspot! For anyone who is just finding this out for the first time right now...no, we're not pregnant. We've started the adoption process and we are soooo excited!
We have decided to do a domestic adoption (which means that it will not be an international adoption) through an agency called Bethany Christian Services. We could be parents within the next 4 to 5 months! Much easier than the typical 9 month wait with a traditional pregnancy. :) Although, it could take around a year as well. I know a couple who adopted through Bethany Christian Services and got their phone call that there was a baby for them just 3 months into the process! Then, this morning at church, Sean and I sat next to a couple that just adopted through Bethany and they said that they turned in their paperwork in August and got their daughter in November. So those 2 cases go to show that it can happen extremely fast! We know it will happen when it is supposed to for us. We are anxious, but wouldn't be devestated if it took a year. We would LOVE to have a little one by Christmas, but we will just try to be patient and if we get one by then, we will be ecstatic. Thank you to all who have prayed for us to have a child...we feel that our prayers are being answered. I have never felt excitement like this in my whole life and I don't think Sean has either, we will feel so blessed when we get to bring our baby home. Please continue to pray for a smooth and quick placement for us! We will keep you all updated as things happen!
